Weekly Sessions:
Eloquence organizes a public speaking session every week. The theme of the session could range from emotion, love, politics, ethics, school days, identity, novelty to paradox. The format for the session could be any one from debate, panel discussion, extempore, group discussion, prepared speeches, talk shows, press interviews, book reviews, movie reviews or a combination of the above.
Each member of the club is assigned a specific role for each session. The members rotate their roles which include being the ‘Master of the Session’, ‘General Evaluator’, ‘Random Master’, ‘Sergeant at Arms’, ‘Timer’, 'Ah-counter', and the ‘Grammarian’. These sessions are open to all members of the IIMA community and the objective of these sessions is to provide an opportunity to participants to hone their public speaking skills. Each speech by a participant is followed by a formal feedback session. Feedback is given on body language, correct usage of words, voice modulation, relevance of the content, ability to engage the audience and on unconscious stammering and stuttering. The sessions end with the highly popular ‘Random Section’ where the attendees play some fun-filled game chosen by the Random Master.
A video summary of all the happenings of the session is uploaded on our YouTube channel which manages to entice some strangers to the next session. The complete video of the session can be viewed and the evaluation sheets can be referred to as these are mailed to the participants.

Similar to last year, this year also we arranged a series of mock GDs which was presided over by the ex-Placecommer and Senior Eloquencian Mr. Sanjit Singh along with other Eloquence tuchaa members. Around 67 PGP1s attended around 7 GDs back-to-back. |
