Eloquence - The Public Speaking Club of IIMA is another cog in the IIMA wheel that helps individuals become effective speakers. We, at ‘Eloquence’ pride ourselves in providing an opportunity to learn to those who want to start off their journey as speakers as well as in providing a platform to the public speaking experts to showcase their talent.
Started by the PGPX participants of the 2011 batch, the objective of the club is to help participants continuously improve their public speaking skills through constructive feedback, learning from peers and most importantly, practice. |

This is a student-run club with a mission to help every member improve his/her public speaking and communication skills. The club provides a collaborative, encouraging and supportive environment. The club meets once a week on weekends for typically 90 minutes. The sessions revolve around extempore, debates, panel discussions, prepared speeches, creative games on communication, book review, movie review, press interview, talk shows etc. Eloquence also sends out a weekly mailer ‘Monday Masti’, a fun-filled stress buster mail on the latest happenings on campus and outside. We also organize workshops and join hands with other clubs and events at IIMA to conduct public speaking related events .
The atmosphere we create in these sessions is one where mistakes add to the fun but not to the embarrassment, where the discussions are intense yet collaborative and where fun is guaranteed. The meeting closes with an evaluation section where constructive feedback is offered to the speakers. The roles played by the attendees help improve public speaking and leadership skills. In line with the objective of the club to promote public speaking, these sessions are open to all members of the IIMA community and are not restricted only to the club members. Each member of the IIMA community is encouraged to make the best use of these sessions to showcase and improve his/her oratory skills.
